Dear Resurrection Family,

I am sending this email from New York City where Danielle and I are looking at graduate schools and spending a few days together. I wanted to make sure you knew of a few things coming up for tomorrow morning and this weekend.

The first item is the Christian Business Leaders' Breakfast.  This breakfast is Friday, September 21, beginning at 7:00 am in the Student Center.  We are very fortunate to have Jim Lucas, a popular speaker, author, and recognized authority on leadership, culture, and organization development speak at tomorrow's breakfast.  You will be blessed in your work and personal life by Jim's presentation.  Here are some of the things people have said about Jim's newest book, High-Performance Ethics

"You will do well to take the message you've received in this book and apply it to your life and career," Zig Ziglar, author and motivational teacher;

"Every young man and woman entering the marketplace would do well to internalize these principles," Andy Stanley, Pastor, Northpoint Church;

"This message is as important as any you will hear now or in the years to come," Steve Forbes, President and CEO, Forbes, Inc.

Registration has officially closed, but walk-ins are welcome at tomorrow's breakfast. You can get details by clicking on this link.

I also want to make sure you are here this weekend as we begin a two-week series on the Holy Spirit.  Over the past several years we have had many requests for sermons on the Holy Spirit, so I have asked Jeff Kirby, our Minister of Discipleship, to preach this important series.  He has taught on the Holy Spirit more than anyone I know, and his class on the Holy Spirit receives rave reviews.  I am excited for him to share with you and encourage all of you to be here.  All of us need to know more about the work of the Holy Spirit, and you will be blessed over the next two weekends as you enjoy these sermons.  I encourage you to be here because these messages are important for your spiritual life.

I will have more to share with you next week in my pastor's email.

In Christ's Love,

Adam
