Student Ministries School Year Intern (Full-time, Nonexempt)

This position will collaborate with Student Ministries Leadership team and its ministry teams located at the Leawood campus to help plan, organize and direct opportunities or experiences designed to promote spiritual development among students (sixth through twelfth grade).  Responsibilities will include assisting with leadership development, intentional discipleship, and worship.  Additionally, there will be opportunities for development of programs/curriculum for study groups, student worship services and confirmation classes.  Successful candidates will be deeply committed Christians capable of effective communication with students and adults; flexible and highly motivated with strong commitment to the Christian faith and theology of The United Methodist Church.

Assistant Audio Engineer (Full-time, Exempt)

Church of the Resurrection is a fast-paced environment where change is constant, ideas come quick, and event production is a significant part of our culture.  If you feel at home mixing FOH for 3,000 + seat venues, if you choose concert seats based on the acoustical sweet spot of the venue, if you play ‘guess that feedback frequency’ with the crew…and always win, if  you can communicate easily with artists and techies alike, if words like gain structure, crossover frequencies, backline, line arrays, and subs are common in your vocabulary, you may be the engineer we need for our mid-week student and adult ministries, Sunday vibe worship services, and other large events, all requiring pro-level audio support.  Successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years experience mixing Front of House audio consoles, with proven ability to mix rock-style bands as well as traditional-style orchestra and choir; advanced working knowledge of digital audio consoles, IEM’s, and RF signal management; three years preferred experience mixing studio sessions, utilizing Pro-Tools or similar post-production software; proficiency in Mac and PC platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Pro Presenter.

Matthew’s Ministries School Year Intern (Part-time, Nonexempt)

This internship will last through the school year and will assist Matthew’s Ministry Program Director with data collection, administration, special event organization, curriculum management, classroom instructor coordination and other administrative duties.  Emphasis is placed on working with volunteers to ensure Church of the Resurrection builds a dynamic Christian community that ministers to special needs participants and their families.  Successful candidates will have some knowledge of special needs children and education along with excellent organization, administrative and communication skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Executive Director of Adult Discipleship (Full-time, Exempt)

The Executive Director of Adult Discipleship works to ensure every member and regular visitor at Church of the Resurrection is engaged in an intentional path of discipleship.  Recognizing that persons who develop significant relationships within the church have a greater likelihood of pursuing the path of discipleship, the ED of Adult Discipleship is responsible for connections, community life and small groups.  Because serving others is an integral part of the Christian life, the ED of Adult Discipleship is also charged with oversight of the church’s mission ministries and leadership development.  Qualified candidates will be committed followers of Jesus Christ; exemplify the church’s values; uphold the staff covenant; understand/champion the church’s purpose and vision; understand the theology/traditions of the United Methodist Church; be capable of building effective teams; resolve complex challenges; and lead multiple projects/staff simultaneously.  The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with Master’s of Divinity or Theology preferred, plus seven or more years of demonstrated success in management/leadership, including at least three years experience leading staff in a large church or other ministry setting.  Ordination as an Elder within the United Methodist Church preferred, but not required.

Café Services Associate (PT, Nonexempt)

The café at Church of the Resurrection, known as The Spring, is seeking a bright, energetic, self-motivated person to assist with operations.  The café is an important area of ministry that serves not only our congregation but also those visiting for special events and those seeking to find a church home.  Because of this unique opportunity, the successful candidate must have a passion for people, customer service and a “whatever it takes” attitude.  The Café Services Associate will support coffee and food service operations; assist with Point of Sales systems and procedures for ordering, receiving, preparing and serving coffee and related products.  Customer service and/or retail experience is optimal.  Hours will include Sunday mornings, Monday and Thursday evenings, occasional Friday mornings, special events, and holidays.  The applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
