Leawood Campus

Video Production Assistant (40 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

The Video Production Assistant will be an organized team player who has a natural love for storytelling and is comfortable working with a wide range of people and video acquisition technologies.  Responsibilities will vary; setting up and prepping for video shoots, capturing live action and b-roll footage, editing long and short-form videos, organizing assets and posting content.  There will be multiple projects in process at any one time that will require this incumbent to pitch in wherever needed.  Ideal candidates will have attention to detail and be flexible with their work schedule to include evening and weekend projects.  This is an entry-level position that provides opportunity to gain valuable production experience in a vital area of ministry.  Successful candidates will have a degree in communications or a related field with academic emphasis in video production and proven competency in video acquisition and video editing.  Must be proficient in Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop with a strong background in photography.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.  Please include a link to an online portfolio or demo reel showcasing your work.

Director of Local Missions (40 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

The Director of Local Missions provides strategic direction and oversight to locally oriented mission programs that maximize the congregation's involvement in life-changing ministry beyond the walls of the church.  This involves developing first-class ministry leaders; effectively leading a team of dedicated staff and volunteer leaders; and cultivating strategic relationships with the communities that Church of the Resurrection serves.  Successful candidates will be passionate about helping non-religious and nominally religious people become deeply committed Christians through service to others with a proven track record of leading and managing staff and development of effective volunteer leaders and teams.  Additional requirements include the ability to cultivate relationships within the communities we serve, bridging across racial, denominational, ethnic and socioeconomic lines; creativity with the ability to be a "big picture" leader who can track details of multiple and varying projects simultaneously; and solid communication, time management and problem solving skills.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Special Needs Care Provider (10 or 25 hours, Nonexempt)

Matthew's Ministry, the church's ministry for adults and children with special needs, is looking for a Special Needs Care Provider to provide hands-on care and support for participants with special needs, ranging from autism to other physical and/or mental disabilities.  Working alongside the Sonflower Adult Learning Program Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator, support is provided for all aspects of the Sonflower Adult Learning Program which includes the Sonflower Bakery and other program activities.  This includes supervising program participants and volunteers during scheduled shifts.  Qualified candidates will have prior experience working with adults with special needs and the ability to lift heavy boxes of baking supplies.  Hours are either 10 hours/2 days (Monday & Thursday) or 25 hours/5 days (Monday-Friday.)  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Student Ministries Administrative Assistant (25 hours, Nonexempt)

We are seeking an administratively gifted person to join the Student Ministries team.  This position supports both Middle School and High School Program Directors in reaching teenagers.  This team member will be charged with first contact correspondence, management of the student and volunteer database, managing print and online correspondence, tracking attendance, providing weekly support for rezlife programs, coordinating program logistics, and supply management.  You must have prior administrative experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office.  Additionally, the successful candidate will be growing in their relationship with God, have a team spirit and enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment.  This position will work 9am-3pm M-Thurs. with some flexibility as needed.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

College Age & Young Adult Program Director (40 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

This position will champion ministries for college-aged and young adults in pursuit of Resurrection's purpose of building a Christian community where nonreligious and nominally religious college-aged and young adults are becoming deeply committed Christians.  This will be done primarily by developing and implementing strategies and structures that create an environment that encourages, equips, and inspires those involved in the ministry to grow in their journey of knowing, loving, and serving God and others.  This position will create catalytic outreach and evangelism, fellowship, growth, worship, and service opportunities specifically for college-aged and young adult participants.  This role will include becoming a resource for Methodist churches and other like ministries within Church of the Resurrection.  Whenever possible, work will be accomplished through a motivated and inspired team of volunteers with clearly defined roles.  Qualified candidates will have a passion for helping college-aged and young adult participants become deeply committed Christian through excellent interpersonal, organizational, and teaching gifts.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual who enjoys being part of a dynamic and fast-paced team with experience in building, leading, and directing teams of volunteers.  Proficiency in computer skills is a must, especially with Excel, Outlook, Word and social media networking tools.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Coordinator for Nursery & Childcare Ministry (25 hours, Nonexempt)

Information Liaison (25 hours, Nonexempt)

This vital position blesses our callers and walk-in guests by offering a positive first impression of Church of the Resurrection.  The Information Liaison plays a key role that supports all church ministries by handling high volume calls to the church office and numerous walk-in visitors while exhibiting proper etiquette and grace.  In addition to greeting and assisting callers/visitors with various inquiries, this position will handle administrative tasks using MS Office.  The successful candidate should have 1 to 2 years reception, customer service, and administrative experience with the ability to handle ever-changing, fast-paced environment while displaying exceptional customer service and organizational skills.  This position report to the Facilities Services Program Director.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.

Student Ministries School Yearn Intern (25 hours, Nonexempt)

Downtown Visual Media Producer (20 hours, Nonexempt)

Resurrection Downtown is a growing community within the creative arts district of downtown Kansas City.  In coordination with the Creative Director, the Visual Media Producer will provide creative and technical support in a fresh and original perspective that speaks to this vibrant and emergent community.  This person will be a highly creative individual who is able to work under tight timelines and deliver consistently high quality work.  The Visual Media Producer will manage the planning and execution of visual elements, including video and graphic design for weekend services and other creative endeavors.  In addition, they will be responsible for providing technical assistance to the Director of Technical Arts in the execution of weekend services, including, but not limited to audio, lighting, video, graphics and staging.  This person will need to acquire working knowledge of all technical systems to provide backup support for the Director of Technical Arts and volunteers.  In addition, qualified candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in the fields of video production/editing or graphic design (preferably both).  To submit your cover letter and resume, along with a link to an online portfolio of your work, please Click Here.

Downtown KiDS COR Childcare Classroom Leader (5-10 hours, Nonexempt)

Resurrection Downtown is seeking Childcare Classroom Leaders whose main focus will be investing in the spiritual lives of the children, ages 6 wks through kindergarten, participating in KiDS COR Childcare.  They will be responsible for actively engaging the children while leading activities and teaching lessons, while using personal creativity.  Being responsible, reliable, having strong communication and organization skills are all key aspects to the success of this position.  Our Ministry offers childcare multiple days a week, morning, afternoon and evening; providing an opportunity for a wide variety of hours and schedules.  Currently we are specifically looking for applicants who can work weekend evenings and Sunday mornings. West (Olathe) Campus

West Director of Worship Arts (40 hours, Exempt, Benefit Eligible)

Worship through musical arts is an important element for Resurrection West as music is the critical tool for experiencing worship and unifying the community in our suburban context.  We are seeking an artist with a servant's heart who has knowledge of modern worship music, ancient-modern hymns, and secular songs appropriate for a worship setting.  This position will manage the planning and execution of all musical components of worship and other campus special events as needed, including, but not limited to, selection and arranging of music, developing and training volunteer worship leaders, recruiting and training volunteers for bands and choirs, and being a key contributor in the weekly worship planning process.  Successful candidates will have proficiency on guitar or piano with proven experience in instructing others and arranging music.  Additionally, excellent communication skills, initiative, and computer proficiency is required.  If interested, submit your resume with links to an audio or video sample showing your musical ability by Clicking Here.

West Technical Producer Team Lead & Audio (20-25 hours, Nonexempt)

The Technical Producer Team Lead and Audio will maintain all technical production support for the Resurrection West campus in cooperation with the Technical Producer Video and Graphics.  Primarily this person will be managing the planning and execution of all audio technical components of worship and student programming at the West Campus and rehearsals of audio elements.  Cooperative responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordination of arrangement of the sanctuary space and platform, audio and visual infrastructure, offsite and event production support (audio, lighting, graphics, video and staging).  This person will also maintain a working knowledge of all systems so that they can provide suitable backup support for the Technical Producer Video and Graphics.  As the team lead for technical production, they facilitate decision making on technical elements with other staff and the Technical Producer Video and Graphics.  Strategic decisions will involve the Staffing and Operations Director and/or Campus Pastor.  Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years of experience mixing Front of House audio consoles as well as working directly in the main areas of technical production, including video/audio/lighting/graphics/staging.  Must be able to assist in moving large equipment in excess of 200 lbs.  To submit your cover letter and resume, please Click Here.
