Bless the School: Paint & Restore - 6/14-28
As we continue our ministry of blessing urban schools, this year we will build a new playground and paint and restore classrooms at Troost Elementary.
In mid-June we will begin Phase II "blitz" to clean and paint the school's interior, as well as install playground equipment and make outdoor improvements. Volunteers are needed to serve on morning, afternoon, and evening shifts from June 14-28. People of all skill-levels are needed!
Phase II - Sign-up Begins May 29th
When: Saturday, June 14-28 (Shifts: Morning 9am-12pm, Afternoon 1-4pm, Evening 5:30-8:30pm)
Where: Troost Elementary School, 1215 E 59th St, Kansas City, MO.
Sign-up: Online begining May 29th or in the Narthex (after worship) May 31-June 1 or Jun 6-7.
Requirements:
- View our Youth Policy before signing up
- Fill out the Required Youth Waiver and/or Adult Waiver
- Turn your completed waiver in at Connection Point or scan and email to anngcarter@aol.com at least 3 days before your shift.
If you have any of these Special Skills, let us know (not required):
- Remove/replace asphalt
- Repair, strip, stain wood
- General contractor
- Plumbing, electrical, general “handyman” skills
- Plaster repair
- Ceiling repair
- Playground equipment assembly
- Concrete work
- Remove/lay vinyl tile
- Knowledge of outside drainage and grading for playground
