Resurrection Feasibility Study
Resurrection is conducting a Feasibility Study to meet our future needs. Your input is valued and needed as we want to hear from our congregation. Learn more about the five possible goals we are considering for this campaign.
Purpose and process:
A Study is designed to confidentially gather personal opinions from a cross section of church members in response to a specific case statement / proposal. These opinions are collected through three formats:
- Individual Interviews
- Focus Groups
- Church-wide survey
Expectation from Study:
- Measure attitudes about the importance/priorities of the project(s)
- Gauge participation/involvement/leadership pool by asking about people’s willingness to lead or volunteer in a campaign
- Chart initial giving inclinations – where people start in considering their giving decision and the financial potential in a campaign
- Observations and Recommendations from RSI: an analysis of trends, issues, strengths and weaknesses which emerge from the study data.
- Determination of "best practices" and best timing for a campaign
Important Notes to Consider
- A study is NOT A CAMPAIGN. A study is a listening and data gathering process that measures a congregation’s initial reactions to a specific proposed project. A study is a snapshot reflecting the starting point of a congregation's attitudes and giving inclinations. A study reads people’s impressions before a church invests the time, effort, and strategic intentions to inform, invite, teach, influence, persuade, encourage, and motivate people.
- A study is a non-biased, open-ended process. Leadership must be willing to make adjustments to the plan if the study data reveals issues with the proposal.
- RSI will interpret the data with one lens – what makes for the best supported capital campaign.
- In a study, RSI listens, gathers feedback, assimilates information, and analyzes the data. We cannot be advocates of the proposal.
