Prepare and serve a meal at the KC Rescue Mission
Work at the Humane Society, painting indoors and possibly helping with the cats at the shelter. Be sure to wear clothes suitable for painting.
Paint indoors and so simple repairs at Hillcrest Transitional Housing, a ministry that helps homeless families become self-sufficient
Work at the check-in table at the Grace United walk to raise funds for their Freedom School, a program that serves urban children
Prepare and serve a meal at the Salvation Army Children's Shelter
Help with a landscaping and gardening project at Central UMC
Work in the clothing closet at Grand Avenue Temple
Unwrap and sort donations at My Father's House, the warehouse of Resurrection's ministry that provides donated home furnishings to urban ministries
A total of 12 projects will be offered, including two on-site projects designed for families with young children. Two groups have also reserved projects on this date.
