- Prepare and serve a meal at the KC Rescue Mission
- Move donated household items into the Resurrection Furnishings Ministry warehouse. The ministry collects household items for the Habitat homes we help build and the urban ministries with which we partner.
- Help serve food and lead children's activities at the Central UMC community picnic.
- Help with a gardening project at an urban medical clinic.
- Sort food donations at Village Presbyterian food pantry.
- Work in the clothing closet at Grand Avenue Temple
- Sort donations at the City Union Mission Thrift Store on 63rd St. Proceeds from the store help fund the mission's ministry to the homeless
- Prepare and serve a meal at the Salvation Army Children's Shelter
- Work at the Human Society helping with the cats (working with the dogs requires special training), cleaning, organizing the animal clinic and possibly doing yard work. Volunteers must be at least ten years old and children must be accompanied by an adult. Only a few more spots are available.
A total of 12 projects will be offered, including two on-site projects for families with small children. Two groups have also reserved projects on this date.
