FaithWork: March 6--Painters Needed!
- Work in the clothing closet that serves the homeless at Grand Avenue Temple. Eight volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and children ages 12 and older with an adult.
- Sort donations at the City Union Mission thrift store on 63rd St. Proceeds from the store help fund the mission's ministry to the homeless. Fifteen volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and children ages 10 and older with an adult.
- Play bingo with the residents at an area nursing home. Ten volunteers are needed for each project. Suitable for all ages.
- Prepare and serve a meal at the Salvation Army Children's Shelter. Ten volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and children ages eight and older with an adult. This project is being kept open for walk-in volunteers.
- Move furniture and sort donations at the warehouse of Resurrection's Furnishings Ministry. Fifteen volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and children ages 12 and older with an adult.
- Paint indoors at the church that is being renovated at the Hope Center, an urban youth ministry with which Resurrection partners. Ten volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and youth 15 and older with an adult.
- Do simple repairs and cleaning at Grace United, a ministry that serves low-income children and their families. Eight volunteers are needed. Suitable for adults and children ages 12 and older with an adult.
- Paint indoors at the Women's Recovery House operated by the Floods of Joy Missionary Baptist Church. Suitable for adults and children ages 15 and older with an adult. Five volunteers are needed.
Two on-site projects lasting just 30 minutes will also be offered for families with very tiny children. Four groups also have reserved projects. A total of 18 projects will be offered.
