University UMC: Be a Reading Buddy 7/14-7/24
When: 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, Monday through Thursday, July 14 to July 24
Where: University UMC, 3148 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, KS.
Project Transformation is a summer program, sponsored in part by Church of the Resurrection and directed by student interns. Students will have reading buddies, who will sit with them as they read and help them sound out new words. If we have sufficient "buddies, each child will work one-on-one with their buddy. Children in the program are elementary through 12 years old.
Reading buddies must be at least freshmen in high school and those under 16 will be paired with younger children.
