Description:  This team will help homeowners in the Cedar Rapids, IA area who were affected by serious flooding in June, 2008. Entire towns were evacuated and 80 of the 99 counties in Iowa were declared disaster areas. The community of Cedar Rapids was one of the hardest hit. Businesses and home-owners have been working hard to clean and rebuild where they can. Many people are still in great need of assistance.

Your team will concentrate on the physical rebuilding of homes (hanging sheet rock, laying floors, painting, etc.) but just as important will be providing emotional and spiritual support by being good listeners. The presence of relief teams in the area offers hope to all in the community.
