Guest Services: Communion Team
Become a member of our faithful volunteer Communion Team! You may choose one of the following ways to serve:
- Prepare the Sanctuary for Communion; serve on Wednesday or Thursday before Communion weekend by placing the serving risers around the Sanctuary and then put a bread basket, chalice (both empty), hand sanitizer and napkin on each riser. You would also prepare the altar for Communion. You pick the time of day to serve.
- Be a part of the "Elements Prep Team", which involves arriving one hour prior to worship service and preparing the bread and juice for Communion.
- Assist with volunteer check-in; arrive a half hour before worship service to check in Communion servers.
- Help serve Communion during weekend worship; check in at least 15 minutes before worship service.
- Serve on the "Communion Clean-up Team", which takes approximately 20 minutes after the worship service has ended.
We are currently looking to add members to all of our serving teams.
We are also looking for team members to help prepare the Sanctuary for Communion. (Light lifting and stair travel required.) This could be done in the morning, afternoon or evening. If you have children and are looking for a volunteer team where you could serve together, this might be a good fit for your family. It would also be a great opportunity for a small group to serve together.
