KiDS COR: Nursery
Our nursery area is full of opportunities for you to serve.
Take a moment to imagine the sounds of a lullaby or “The B-I-B-L-E that’s the book for me” or “Jesus Loves Me this I know”. Does it bring back memories or make you stop and think about Jesus? Add to that an environment that is full of love for God’s little one. That is what a nursery should be. The children are all precious to Him, and we want to present that environment for each child. We provide nursery care for children during worship without a reservation and a reservation is required during the week for non-worship, on site classes. Wouldn’t you love to be an integral part of that?
For our program to operate with the highest level of care, we ask that parents of nursery children volunteer 6 times per school year. If you don’t have children in the nursery but would love to get your “baby fix,” that is great too. If you are a teen who loves to babysit, we also have a spot for you. Volunteering at least twice per month gives you the gift of personally knowing the little ones as they enter the room. Recognition of a familiar face is worth a lot to the children and parents as it creates a special reason for you to come back each time.
Requirements:
1. Do you have a love for children and helping them grow in their knowledge of Jesus?
2. Are you at least 14 years of age?
Then:
3. You must complete the “application for working with minors” and be approved.
4. You must be trained since different age groups require specific training.
We care for different age levels of children for each worship service:
Saturday evening: 6 weeks- Kindergarten
Sunday morning: 6 weeks – 2 years
Sunday evening: 6 weeks – 3 years
Non-worship during the week:
M – F morning: 6 weeks – kindergarten
T W Th afternoon: 6 weeks – kindergarten
Sun – Th evening: 6 weeks – 5th grade
