Friendship on the Margins

Thursdays at 6:30 pm at 1508 Grand, Room 110   |   Beginning September 22

Pastor Patrick will be leading this study which deals with the concept that in our anonymous and dehumanized world, the simple practice of friendship is radically counter-cultural. Sometimes Christians inadvertently marginalize and objectify the very ones they most want to serve. When we befriend those on the margins of society by practicing hospitality and welcome, we create communities where righteousness and justice can be lived out.

The book for this study, Friendship on the Margins, by Christopher L. Heuertz and Christine D. Pohl may be purchased online.  Scholarships are available.

During this year's Crossroads Adventure, we will take on three BIG questions: WHY? WHAT? and HOW?

  • WHY addresses the power of purpose.
  • WHAT addresses the power of vision.
  • HOW addresses the power of planning.

Please join us for this enlightening, dynamic and highly interactive experience with special guest facilitator Joe Calhoon.  Joe has given over 3,000 presentations to more than 600 different organizations on four continents. He has shared the platform with Ken Blanchard, Stephen Covey, and Zig Ziglar and is the author of three books.
