Celebrate Recovery Weekly Gathering
If you and your relationships have been struggling from perfectionism, pride, resentment or people pleasing... There’s a group for that. If low self-esteem or anger is stealing away your joy... There’s a group for that and for much more. Celebrate Recovery is a vibrant, growing ministry for anyone looking for a change of direction. Whether you keep repeating behaviors that are limiting your relationships or are currently motivated by the mantra “If I am good enough, I will get the love that I need.."
There’s a group for that. There’s a group for you.
Celebrate Recovery is a ministry for adults meeting every Thursday at 6:30 pm. It is intentionally practical, real, confidential, and encouraging. Celebrate Recovery uses lessons from the Bible, especially Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, to help people find the joyful life God wants for them.
Large Group Worship combines great music with lessons on how to take the next step in your journey to a place of greater joy and improved relationships. The lessons alternate between a teaching by Pastor Steven Blair and a story told by someone who is in the process of changing. Following Large Group Worship, people move to Share Groups, gender-specific small groups that are also issue-specific. There, participants can choose to answer the focus question to help them process their own journey, or they can say “pass” and choose to refrain from sharing.
Thursday Night Schedule:
6:00 pm: Fellowship and Pizza (Optional)
6:30 pm: Large Group Worship (Student Center, Leawood East Building)
7:30 pm: Gender-Specific Share Groups (Room numbers and names in bulletin)
8:30 pm: The CrossTalk Café (Place to chat and snack, Share Group - optional)
*Childcare (6 weeks - 5th Grade) is available. Please register before each meeting by contacting KiDS COR at 913-544-0285 or childcare@cor.org.
