Collections: Computer Ministry

The purpose of Resurrection's Computer Ministry is to contribute to the spiritual growth of computer donors, technicians and recipients, and to help receiving organizations advance their ministries.  This hardworking team refurbishes over 100 donated recent model computers a year so that they can be used by ministry partners throughout the city and around the world.

Serving Opportunities

Refurbish Computers: Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm or Saturdays 10am-12pm. The computer ministry meets in the lower level of the Leawood Campus West Building. If you would like to join the team, please contact Stephanie Butler at 913-530-3073 or geeks4god@cor.org and she will make arrangements to meet you and show you to the work area.

Serve on the team in a Coordinator Role:

• Shift Leaders or Asst Shift Leaders
• Computer Request Coordinator
• Process Automation Coordinator
• Computer Ministry Public Relations
• Surplus Material Disposal Coordinator

Donation Opportunities

Church of the Resurrection has to pay to discard unusable donations, so please help us by only leaving items that meet the below criteria.  Donations can be dropped off in the "Collection Corner" in the NW corner of the Narthex, West Building, on the rack labeled "Computer Ministry."

Donation Requirements:

• Laptops or CPUs in full working order
• Laptops must have A/C Adapter-Charger
• Pentium 4 or later processor
• 20 gigabyte or larger hard drive
• Monitors (preferably flat screen)
• Speakers with A/C adapter
• Keyboards
• Mouse

We Cannot Accept:

• Printers/Faxes
• Laptops that do not have A/C Adapters
• CPUs or Laptops that do not meet the minimum system requirements (see above)
• CPUs or Laptops that are not in working order
