We live in a world full of stuff – houses, cars, clothes, computers, iPods, etc. – and the more you have, the better off you are. But is that really true? Is life all about having as much nice stuff as possible? Thankfully, the answer to that question is No. God created us and we are worth infinitely more than all the stuff in the world.
Generation Change is a class that teaches students the keys to financial management and peace, the way God intended it. This class will help students discover their true value in God’s eyes, and that their identity is based in God’s love for them, not in the things they have.
We will be going through this class in a Day Retreat format on Saturday, December 3, 2011. The Generation Change Day Retreat will feature big and small group discussion, and it will take place from 9:00am-4:00pm in Room 300 of the East Building. All 7th-12th grade students are welcome to attend. The cost is $30, and this includes the student workbook, a t-shirt, breakfast, lunch, and drinks.
