Advent Study with Pastor Scott

Join Pastor Scott as he leads this 3-week study of Advent. The season of Advent, which comes from the Latin word adventus meaning “coming” or “visit,” begins four Sundays before Christmas and ends on Christmas Eve. During Advent, we prepare for, and anticipate, the coming of Christ. We remember the longing of Jews for a Messiah and our own longing for, and need of forgiveness, salvation and a new beginning.  Come prepare your hearts and minds for this special season. Only children’s programming registration is required and you can register below by clicking "Register Now".

This study will meet in the sanctuary at 1508 Grand.

Services of Healing and Hope

Thursday, Dec 3, 2015 | 5:30 pm & 7:15 pm | Wesley Covenant Chapel

These services will be Live streamed at

Reverend Cheryl Jefferson Bell will be sharing her life story, from early childhood to the present. In all of the things that happened, that she could control and couldn’t control, God has been her strength, her hiding place, her rock in the storm! Raised in single parent home with virtually no relationship with her  mother, her story includes childhood abuse, rape, mental illness, divorce, and betrayal! But her story also includes redemption, forgiveness, healing, and joy! For she has learned there is NOTHING that can separate us from the Love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord. So come hear her story!  Come hear her song!

Reserve the evening of Thursday, December 3, 2015, for this Service of Hope and Transformation in the Wesley Covenant Chapel (C100) at the Leawood campus.  Choose between two service options: 5:30 pm or 7:15 pm.  A buffet dinner will be served in the Student Center from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.  You will have time to eat before the second service or after the first service. Childcare is available for children 6 weeks thru 5th grade from 6:15-8:30 pm by signing up during registration or emailing for reservations.

This will be a powerful evening of worship as we anticipate the light of Christ coming into the world.  You will have an opportunity for communion and anointing from pastors and Congregational Care Ministers.

These services will be Live Streamed at

Please contact Cheryl Greenough at 913-544-0238 with questions.

Children's Choir Christmas Musical "Wrapping All the Way"

Join the 175-voice Resurrection Children’s Choir as they transform this Advent Season into the little town of Tuneville, where EVERY day is Christmas Day!  The whimsical “Tunies” love everything about Christmas yet they have focused a little too much on the glitz and glamour.  When a giant sleigh bell storm knocks out power, they have to focus on from where their true light comes and how the true Gift of Christmas was brought to brighten a world longing for peace and joy.
