Hunger: Sort & Box Food Donations
Hundreds of food items are brought in each month from the congregation and our "Hunger Stoppers." The Hunger Ministry needs your help!
How You Can Serve: Help sort, check and box donated food items to prepare them to be delivered to local pantries. This is a fun service project for small groups, individuals or families.
When:
- Sorting teams meet several times during the year on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 pm.
- Individuals are needed in February, April, July, September, October and November. Check below for specific dates.
- 8 people needed for each shift.
Where: Basement, West Building, Leawood Campus
Register: Please only sign-up for one shift at a time; this will allow everyone an opportunity to serve. We will have extra serving dates and times as needed during peak times and post those here.
Monday, September 2nd 6:30-8pm
Age Requirements: Volunteers must be 10 and older (accompanied by a parent), or 16 and older (unaccompanied).
A spiritual gift typically found in those serving in this role is Helps (Serving).
