Surge Kansas City Mission Trips - Grades 7-8

Students entering  7th or 8th grade Fall 2012

We will be serving our community through a variety of projects including Harvesters, Grand Avenue Temple, Hope Faith Center and other local ministries that the church supports.  Students will be serving in mission teams with 2 adult leaders per team. We will be staying at our downtown campus.

What is the Dates? Monday, July 16 – Thursday, July 19, 2012

Who is leading the trip? Taylor Ogden Thomas, Middle School Minister

What is the cost? $175.00 per student ( $50.00 non refundable deposit is due at the time of registration)

What does the cost include? lodging , meals, devotional material for the week and transportation 

How can I as a parent be involved? We are looking for adult mission mentors, help with meals and snacks on-site, and behind the scenes preparation. Volunteer sign-up is included in the student registration. 

What is the cancellation / refund policy? A non refundable deposit of $50 is due in seven days, with the remaining balance due by July 2nd.  Cancellations received by May 1st  will receive a refund minus the $50 deposit.  Cancellations received after May 1st,  payment will be held as a credit for a 2012 program, or, you may find a substitute for the mission trip.

Is there paperwork to be completed? All students must turn in a rezlife consent form and copy of health insurance card for registration to be complete.

When will I receive information about the trip? There is a mandatory parent student meeting for the trip whether or not a student has participated in this trip in the past. Meeting for the trip is held at the Leawood Campus in room 220 of the East Building from 4:00-4:45pm on Sunday, July 8.

This is going to be an amazing experience as we have the awesome opportunity to serve the Lord together while having a fun time in the process. Be prepared to be stretched and molded in new and different ways during your Surge experience.
