Saturday August 27 9am - 2pm
Join other women during this retreat day, themed "Trash Talk" as we learn simple yet powerful tools to embrace compassion for ourselves and truly activate Jesus' teaching of "love thy neighbor." Don't miss this opportunity to transform your life and impact our world.
Pastor Anne and Diane Brenneman will be leading this class. Diane will provide practical skills to optimize the mind, emotions, body and spirit, to relieve stress, quiet the mind, manage emotions, engage forgiveness, create and realize a fulfilling life's vision and experience more peace, joy and love in everyday life. Diane will help us address the things we tell ourselves or believe about others. Every day in our country we hear disturbing accounts of behavior fueled by hatred, anger and judgment. Our news is filled with stories that tell us to be afraid of one another. Oftentimes we find ourselves slipping into a space of judgment, trash talking our fellow human beings and directing the most brutal criticisms at ourselves. How do we stop?
Don't miss this opportunity to transform your life and impact our world. An attorney for over 25 years, Diane devoted her law career to supporting those who suffered catastrophic burn injuries. Through her law practice, Diane worked with talented neuroscientists, neurologists and psychiatrists across the country to support her injured clients. It was through these experts that she first learned of science's advancements regarding how to rewire the brain to optimize the experience of life through contemplative practice. She will help us use our faith and our minds to help us lead a God-filled life where we rid ourselves of the trash we talk each day!
