United Methodist Women serves as the model to create opportunities that invite women to know God through Jesus Christ; develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and learn about service through participation in the local and global ministries of the Church.

Overall, United Methodist Women (UMW) is an organization of approximately 800,000 members from churches all across the world whose purpose is to foster spiritual growth, develop leaders, and advocate for justice. Members raise nearly $20,000,000 each year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.
