Women: Building Better Moms

Imagine...

  • A place that meets you right where you’re at as a mom, a woman, and a friend.
  • Learning how to be better equipped as a parent through speakers and discussion.
  • Growing through a supportive network of moms who “get” it — from newborns to teens.
  • Serving not only your family, but also your community through outreach opportunities.

    Imagine...you're here.

What is BBM?

Building Better Moms (BBM) strives to build a community of moms who learn, grow, and serve together. BBM members meet together in a larger group setting, but are connected with a small group of moms with whom they share a table at each BBM meeting throughout the year. The BBM calendar follows the school calendar year, beginning in September and concluding in May. The schedule is set to align as much as possible with area school and holiday schedules. BBM meetings run about two hours in length and each group meets approximately twice a month to enjoy food and fellowship, speakers, and group discussion. All groups also participate in mission projects supported by Church of the Resurrection and occasional social events outside of the meeting schedule.

An annual programming and childcare fee is collected during registration at the start of each BBM year.
2011-12 Program Fee: $40/BBM Member
2011-12 Childcare Fee: $40/Child*

Refund Policy: Refunds are available. However, $10 per BBM membership fee and $10 per childcare fee will be retained by BBM to cover processing fees related to these transactions. In addition, no refunds will be awarded after the third meeting of the particular BBM group in which the member is registered. Thank you.

* Every effort is made to accommodate all childcare needs, however, child/staff ratios determine availability to comply with state regulations.

What Moms are saying about BBM:

"I look forward to the meetings as a time to both listen and share with other Moms who understand where I'm coming from and listen with an open heart and understanding ear.  When I leave the meetings, I feel ready to tackle the week armed with support of friends as well as a new approach/idea to try thanks to the speakers.  That said, my overall wonderful feelings of BBM wouldn't exist without the Missions.  I really appreciate and enjoy the opportunities to serve with my BBM family!"

"I have liked all the speakers.  Each one brings a unique spin on a mother's world.  I like the ones that have encouraged my husband and I to reconnect on all levels.  It's very easy to get side tracked with personal activities and kiddo activities."

"We all need time away from our kids...and women enjoy a little girl time!  We often don't give ourselves credit for how important this is for each of us...and how much of an impact we can positively make on our lives and the lives of our families if we take time out for ourselves."
