The Connection Point is your best portal of entry into the life of the church.  Whether you are ready to learn, to serve or in need of support - the consultants at the Connection Point can be your guides.  Located in the Narthex of the West Building, you may stop by before or after worship services year round to meet with a member of this dedicated team.  They offer guided conversations and timely program and service listings to help you get connected. 

We take many different journeys in life. Some are exhilarating and strenuous, some slow and relaxing, some advance us to a new place, and others lead to a dead-end. Every day, we are faced with decisions, demands, and pathways that converge as we stand at the crossroads of life and try to decide what is most important and which direction to take. Our faith journey doesn’t have to be complicated if we take the time to focus on what is important — knowing, loving and serving God.

Worship is just the beginning!
For many, a worship service is the first step on this journey of faith. Maybe you’ve been attending here for two weeks, maybe ten years.  Maybe you’ve already tried a few things; maybe you’ve just come each week and worshipped quietly.   Regardless, there’s a simple pathway for the journey of becoming a deeply committed Christian.  Simply, begin with a Journey 101 course, and then commit to Group Life. Though it’s not the only path you can take, we know from experience that this one works.

Participate in Community
Community is where we connect and explore the faith with others who are also on the journey. It’s the place where we begin to examine Christianity, study the Bible and discover how we can know, love and serve God each day of our lives.

We have designed four Journey 101 courses to help you on your journey.

If you are looking for an overview of the Christian faith or you’re uncertain where to begin, we recommend you start with The Alpha Course.  Each of the ten weekly sessions consists of a talk addressing a key issue related to the Christian faith.  There is a light meal together at the beginning where participants can get to know each other. After each talk, we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions.  Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And, ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too controversial. Alpha is for everyone, whether you’re just beginning to explore Christianity or you’ve been a Christian for years.

In addition to Alpha, we offer three other Journey 101 classes, one focused on Knowing God, one focused on Loving God, and one focused on Serving God. These interactive, six-week sessions are led by experienced teachers.

On-Campus Community Life includes Men’s, Women’s, Senior Adult, Singles, Young Adult or Workplace Community Life Groups. These offer additional ways to explore the faith and connect with others.
