Work, Learn and Serve with Navajo People
This national mission project includes both service and cultural activities on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico, Arizona and Utah. Mission team members serve alongside the Four Corners Native American Ministry congregations working in poor, rural areas as well as in small towns on the reservation. Team accommodations range from modern bunk-house style to rustic settings and provide just the right environment for learning, sharing and growing together in Christ.
Navajo Nation trips offer the opportunity to learn directly from the Navajo people about their culture, history, current situation and call to the Lord. Education and fun are intermingled with opportunities to serve and worship. In addition to mission work, team members will have the opportunity to visit historical and cultural sites. Past cultural excursions have included the Hubble Trading Post, the Navajo National Monument, Canyon De Chelly and other scenic places on the reservation. Teams can drive or fly to the Navajo Nation. Driving takes approximately 16 hours. Albuquerque is the nearest airport and is 2-3 hours from most trip origination points.
