    Serve God by serving those in need. Take a Saturday to participate in a project in the community.

  • Bless Your Neighbors

    Learn how to reach out to your neighbors and build relationships using suggested ideas.

  • Collections

    Donate gently used clothing and household items to those in need or help sort and distribute donations.

  • Compassion International

    Sponsor a child and develop a life-changing relationship or join the Resurrection Compassion team.

  • Foster and Adoptive Care

    Help a child find a forever home through foster or adoption, or provide support to these children and their families.

  • Computer Ministry

    Refurbish or donate recent model computers to be used throughout the city and around the world.

  • Food Bank

    Feed the hungry in Kansas City by collecting, sorting and delivering food for one of Resurrection's food drives.

  • Habitat for Humanity

    Build a home and help a family through Resurrection Habitat, or provide a lunch for these hardworking crews.

  • J.O.Y. In Service

    Serve or lead through mission opportunities and organizations during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

  • Disaster Relief

    Offer hope to individuals and families by assisting with recovery and rebuilding efforts after natural disasters.

  • Justice and Reconciliation

    Build bridges across cultures by serving in urban schools with St James UMC and in the community with the MLK team.

  • Prison Ministry

    Restore hope to incarcerated or released offenders and their families through visits, Bible study and mentoring.

Urban Ministry Opportunities

  • Central United Methodist Church

    Get involved with this church in the Armourdale neighborhood. Prepare and serve meals at various times or spend time with youth on sports night.

  • Community LINC

    Help prepare apartments, tutor adults or children, or participate in monthly worship for this transitional housing program.

  • Grace United Ministries

    Tutor children grades K-5 one day a week during the school year. You can also join a small group to help prepare and serve meals.

  • Interfaith Hospitality Network

    Work together with members from Asbury Methodist Church to provide and serve meals and fellowship with homeless families.

  • University United Methodist Church

    Help serve meals for the family night program and get to know this urban neighborhood.

  • The Hope Center

    Tutor or mentor children and teens, participate in outreach bible study, or assist with maintenance
    work at this urban youth ministry.

  • The Hope Care Center

    Participate in monthly worship at this skilled nursing facility for persons challenged with HIV/AIDS.
