Computer Ministry


The purpose of the Resurrection's Computer Ministry is to contribute to the spiritual growth of computer donors, technicians, and recipients and to help receiving organizations advance their ministries.  This hardworking team refurbishes donated recent model computers, so they can be used by ministry partners throughout the city and around the world!  

Serving Opportunities

Computer Ministry volunteers meet every Tuesday evening and Saturday morning to reburbish donated computers.  If you would like to join this team to help reburbish computers or assist with other coordination efforts for the team please view the Volutneer Opportunity to the right "Join the Ministry Team" for details or contact us if you have questions. 

Donation Opportunities

Church of the Resurrection has to pay to discard unusable donations, so please help us by only leaving items that meet the below criteria.

Donation Requirements:

  • Laptops or CPUs in full working order 
  • Laptops must have A/C Adaptor-Charger 
  • Pentium 3 or later processor
  • 10 gigabyte or larger hard drive
  • Flat screen monitors only 
  • Speakers with A/C adapter

We Cannot Accept:

  • Monitors that are not flat screen
  • Keyboards
  • Mouse 
  • Printers/Faxes
  • Laptops that do not have A/C Adaptors
  • CPUs or Laptops that are not in working order   

Hundreds of Computers have already been dontated to many ministries/organizations in need:

  • Grace United, for student labs in their after school tutoring program.
  • University UMC, where they are developing their own neighborhood computer recycling program.
  • Heritage UMC, for managing their student programs.
  • Ciudad Espana, Honduras, where a special Spanish language Windows laptop and laser printer was prepared for Pastor Felix Baca.
