Sports and Recreation
Sports and Recreation ministry helps to foster Christian fellowship, to build relationships among church members and to offer an opportunity for our members to fellowship.

All Church Events -
- NEW! Ladies Tennis Group - If you love to play tennis but have a hard time finding partners and opponents, then this group is for you. We will group players according to playing level (include your NTRP rating if you have one) and time preference (days or evenings). E-mail your information to Susan Smith if you are interested. An e-mail will be sent regarding more details if there is enough interest.
- Adult Softball - Starting in March and September, Men’s and Coed recreational teams play in Spring and Fall leagues at Miller’s Woods (137th & Antioch); Starting in May, Men’s and Coed teams play Summer leagues through Overland Park Parks and Recreation at Roe Park (104th & Roe). - Golf League - Team play begins in May and played at Iron Horse Golf Course. Contact Shane Gardner or Nick Vaughn for details.
- Coed Volleyball —Sand volleyball leagues at Quivira Park (119th & Quivera) in the summer, and indoor leagues at Tomahawk Ridge Community Center (119th & Lowell) in the fall and winter. Contact Pete Sawyer.
- Coed Kickball – Leagues play at Miller's Woods (137th & Antioch) in the spring and fall if there is enough interest.
- Car Show – July – open to church members and local car clubs. Money collected goes the Hope Center in Kansas City, MO to aid inner city children. Contact Brian Dale or Joe Campbell for further information.
- Basketball – Fall and Spring – Men’s open gym format; play at various times during the season at various elementary and middle school gyms; contact Dennis Strickland for additional details, or download the Spring 2008 schedule here.
- Dodgeball - Coed and men’s dodgeball teams through Blue Valley Recreation during the winter months if there is enough interest.
