Prayer Ministry

Every ministry at Church of the Resurrection is a ministry of prayer, but one special area is leading the congregation to focus on a vision of prayer as the heartbeat of Resurrection.

Prayer Ministry Vision:

We will transform lives, transform community, and renew the mainline church through intercessory prayer, the formation of personal prayer and shared prayer experience.

Resurrection In Prayer

Make a Prayer Request

Prayer request cards are available in the sanctuary, Wesley Covenant Chapel, Firestone Chapel and at the Connection Point. You may also request prayer using our online request form or by calling the Prayer Ministry office.

Pray Daily for the Resurrection Community

Join one or more of the Covenant Prayer Teams, and receive prayer requests each week via email. Look for the link under Volunteers and sign up for a Covenant Prayer team.

Prayer and Anointing Before Surgery

Pastors are available to pray with you and your family before surgery, or during hospitalization. Please contact the Congregational Care office at 544-0238 with the date, time, and hospital where you will be having your surgery. Due to HIPPA regulations, the hospital will not call and inform the church of your hospitalization.

Firestone Prayer Chapel

The Firestone Prayer Chapel, in the West Building, is open daily for quiet prayer from 7 am until 10 pm. Prayer, communion and anointing are available in this chapel following each weekend worship service.

Prayer "Tools"

Tools to aid in the development of your personal prayer life may be found in the links under "Additional Resources." A paper copy of the featured tool each month can be found in Firestone Chapel.
