Churches helping churches: ShareChurch is a resource for church leaders with fresh and practical ideas to inspire, encourage and equip other churches and leaders – unlocking and unleashing the potential of churches to reach their communities.
One way we work to equip churches and leaders is through leadership training events such as the annual Leadership Institute where more than 2000 leaders gather annually to be equipped, renewed, and inspired.
Other leadership events in 2016 include:
- Congregational Care Ministry Seminar – April 7th – 9th, 2016
- Young Preachers Festival & Conference – July 21st – 22nd, 2016
- Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit – August 11th – 12th, 2016
- Leadership Institute – September 29th - 30th, 2016 (Pre-Institute September 28th)
Each year Resurrection welcomes thousands of pastors and church leaders to our church for conferences and learning experiences coordinated by ShareChurch (Catalyst Ministry). You can be part of this exciting ministry and our vision to renew the church. Each conference needs volunteers to serve on a variety of hospitality teams. If you are interested in serving on this team, please fill out this online form. We will add you to our email list to receive information about volunteering for each conference.
Links to sign up for specific conferences will be posted here approximately 6 weeks prior to each event.

Registration will open in early January. Please check here for a link to registration.
A detailed schedule will be available in early January. Conference will start mid-day Thursday, April 7th and conclude mid-day April 9th
Who Should Attend?
Pastors and church staff looking to launch a CCM program at their church and volunteers looking to be certified as Congregational Care Ministers (CCM’s) for churches who have a CCM program starting or in place.
What will I Learn?
This three-day seminar, presented by Executive Pastor Karen Lampe and Pastor Wendy Chrostek and the Congregational Care team is designed to prepare lay volunteers to work alongside pastors and staff to minister to and care for your congregation as Congregational Care Ministers. The training is based on Pastor Karen’s book The Caring Congregation, which serves as a manual to guide pastors and churches to organize their congregations for care and equip people to listen, visit, comfort and encourage congregants.
With this training volunteers will be empowered to make hospital visits, telephone persons in need of contact, meet one-on-one with persons in need of a listening ear for prayer and encouragement, offer support to grieving families and proactively seek to encourage and care for persons in need.
Upon completion of this seminar, volunteers will be equipped to provide care on behalf of the church. They will develop active listening skills and theologically appropriate responses, as well as be given Scripture suggestions for various situations.
Topics to be covered: Organizational Development, Wesleyan Way of Care, Boundaries and Ethical Practices, Listening, Older Adult Ministry, Hospital Visits, Death and Prayer.

- Plenary sessions led by Executive Pastor Karen Lampe and Pastor Wendy Chrostek with videos and interviews of our pastoral staff, Congregational Care Ministers and congregants

Leadership Institute 2016:
September 29th - 30th (Pre-Institute September 28th)
Leadership Institute at the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection brings together clergy, church staff and volunteers who share a passion for renewing churches.
Lean in to our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by investing in your leadership and leaders of your church. Leaders with fresh ideas, renewed focus and inspired by the Holy Spirit are able to unleash the potential of a church and community. Bring your ministry leaders to the largest mainline church training event in the country and be equipped, renewed and inspired.
Join 2,000 church leaders from across the country and around the world for inspiring plenary sessions, 80+ ministry specific workshops, guest speakers with fresh and innovative ideas and worship, prayer, fellowship and encouragement. Over the past 15 years, more than 20,000 leaders have returned to their congregations and communities ready to “Go and Lead” with impact, vitality, excellence, passion and boldness.
Our vision for the Partner Church Ministry is to work with churches throughout the country in an effort to renew The United Methodist Church, so that together we can more effectively change lives and transform whole communities through the power of Jesus Christ.
Our dream has been that through this partnership model, hundreds of small churches will band together as a modern day version of the circuit rider system which led to the original growth of our denomination. Each church retains their complete independence and charge through their respective conference. Yet, they have access to resources and training through Church of the Resurrection and the other churches involved in this ministry.
Imagine the impact of hundreds of already established congregations banding together to share powerful tools in order to provide the very best ministry to their communities!
Together - in partnership with one another - we can be a model for ministry that leads to renewal and revitalization within our denomination and other mainline churches. To explore whether being a Partner Church is right for your church and to learn about what Resurrection provides, how we deliver ministry tools, as well as our expectations, contact Jonathan Bell at email@example.com.
