You're Not Crazy, You're Grieving Online Class

The Resurrection Grief Ministry is offering a 6-week online book study for anyone navigating loss. Beginning Monday, February 9 at 6:30 pm CST, this group will work through You're Not Crazy - You're Grieving by Dr. Alan D. Wolfelt, creating space to explore the complex emotions of grief alongside others who understand the journey. Led by experienced facilitators, the sessions will meet weekly on Zoom, offering both the structure of guided discussion and the comfort of shared experience. You'll need to purchase the book in advance—it's available on Amazon or at the Leawood location bookstore. Registration is required as space is limited, and you'll receive Zoom details and additional information via email before the first session.

Women's Midlife Divorce Recovery

Life after divorce can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate this journey alone. Join us for a supportive 10-week Women's Midlife Divorce Recovery class, beginning Wednesday, January 14, from 6:30 to 8 pm at Resurrection Leawood. Based on Suzy Brown's compassionate curriculum, this confidential group provides a safe space to heal from regret, bitterness, anger, sadness, and fear while discovering proven strategies for personal growth and recovery. Whether you're in the early stages of divorce or years into your new chapter, this transformative experience will help you rediscover your strength and embrace the brighter future that awaits you. Class materials are $85 with scholarships available, and registration is required to participate. Room details will be shared privately with registered participants. Miscarriage Support Groups

Forever Connected: Healing After Pregnancy Loss is a six-week support group designed for women navigating grief after pregnancy loss. In this caring environment, participants will explore the grief process, share experiences with others who understand, and develop practical coping strategies for moving forward. Here you'll find a supportive community focused on healing, connection, and discovering strength during this challenging time.

WeCare Support Group

“We Care” support group is a safe and welcoming space for connection, resources, and support for those going through any forms of life challenges; caregiving for a loved one or loss of relationship, house, employment or physical ability. All are welcome. Resurrection Overland Park is offering a WeCare Support Group on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month, starting March 4. Participants will find a caring and supportive environment in which to connect with others who are navigating similar life transitions. This group focuses on non-bereavement losses; those who have lost a loved one are encouraged to attend Resurrection's grief support groups.

Dementia Care Support Group

This in person group is for care partners of those with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) or early-stage dementia and facilitated by Amy Yeager, LMSW, KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. Grief Support Group - Overland Park, Daytime

We invite you to come alongside others as we unfold our grief together. We will read scripture, pray, and move through a dedicated study on grief. Grief affects all of us in different ways.

Loneliness & Isolation Support Group 

Please join us for a time of connection and conversation with others who can relate to feelings of loneliness and isolation. This group is open to all - whether you are members or non-members of the church.

Eating Disorder Support Group 

Please join us for a time of discussion, reflection, healing, and community.  This group welcomes adults who are family and friends of those who struggle with body image, eating disorders, dysmorphia, or any related topic.  We look forward to connecting with you.

Dementia Care Support Group

Caring for someone with dementia can be challenging. The Dementia Care Partner Support Group is a safe and supportive space to share experiences, ask questions, and connect with others on a similar journey. Meetings are held the second Thursday of every month at 6-7:30 pm at Resurrection Overland Park (8412 W 95th St), Room 116 and facilitated by Jea Castrop-May, LMSW, KU Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center.
