Bands

Do you enjoy playing or singing in bands?  Have a heart for worship?  Then we would love to connect you with one of the many bands that play in various ministries at Resurrection!  Please look over the following band descriptions, and contact their leaders to discuss opportunities to get involved.

Alpha Band

The Alpha Band leads worship weekly for the Alpha Course - a ministry of Resurrection for those interested in exploring the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner.  Worship leader, Bill Mallory, generally leads acoustic worship with just him and his guitar.  Other musicians, however, are invited to come in and play three times a semester for special events.  So if you are interested in coming to play occasionally, please contact Bill!

Program: Alpha (Mondays - 6:30-8:30pm - Student Center)
Rehearsal: Mondays - 6:00-6:55pm - Student Center
Musicians: Solo voice and acoustic guitar, but full band set and vocalists join three times a semester

Ignite! Band (Single's Ministry)

The Ignite! Band leads worship once a month for the "Second Tuesdays" Singles' gatherings.  If you are interested in playing or singing with a great worship band and would like to grow in your skills leading worship, contact Nathan Johnson to get involved!  (Please note that you do not need to be "single" to volunteer in this band.)

KidsCOR Band (Children's Ministry)

The KidsCOR Band leads dynamic weekly worship for children's programming at Resurrection.  If you have a heart for working with kiddos and enjoy leading creative, high-energy worship, then please consider joining one of the KidsCOR bands!  Adults and youth are welcome to participate, so please contact Nick to get involved!

Late Nite Men's Band (Men's Ministry)

The Late Nite Men's Band is a vital part of Resurrection's men's ministry, which is dedicated to providing men with pathways for spiritual growth through Christian fellowship, effective discipleship and mission outreach.  If you're interested in having a great time playing or singing music and leading men in worship, please contact Mark to get involved!

Thurdsay Live! Band (Women's Ministry)

The Thursday Live! Band has the special responsibility of leading women in worship each Thursday morning to prepare their hearts to study Scripture.  If you participate in Thursday Live! and are interested in volunteering your musical gifts to serve in this way, please contact Sara Sander to learn more.

Weekend Worship Band

The Weekend Worship Band leads worship for the Saturday and Sunday 5pm contemporary services each weekend.  They also regularly play for special events and conferences at the church, as well as for Daystar Nights of Worship.  Led by the director of contemporary music, Lance Winkler, this band seeks to provide excellent music and worship leadership for the congregation and lead the way in helping to renew United Methodist worship.
