OVERVIEW
The aged apostle John (portrayed as a 95-year-old prisoner by Rev. Adam Hamilton) speaks to the congregation from the Isle of Patmos. He explains how the growing cult of Emperor worship under Roman emperor Domitian led to his arrest, and how the Revelation, with its emphasis on heavenly worship and the glory and triumph of "the Lamb that was slain," was meant to encourage the early Christians to remain faithful in the face of Rome's persecuting power.
