OVERVIEW
The apostle John (portrayed as a 55-year-old man by Rev. Adam Hamilton) recalls the power and joy of the day of Pentecost, as the Holy Spirit energized the disciples in Jerusalem, and also the sadness of the martyrdom of Stephen and of his brother James in the persecution that followed. He introduces us to Saul, the Pharisee and persecutor turned apostle, reviewing that powerful impact of his ministry on the spread of the gospel. He challenges us all to live boldly and courageously as Christ’s witnesses today.
