Kindermusik at Resurrection

Resurrection's music program added Kindermusik in 1999 as a choice for the early childhood parents in our church as well as a community outreach program. Our goal is to help nurture the parent-child relationship and bring music to life for each child that attends.

Kindermusik is a unique program that is designed to encourage early learning and creativity in children through the sheer joy of music and movement. The program allows children to explore the world in a secure, stimulating environment, filing them with a sense of curiosity and the delight of self-expression.

Kindermusik Curriculum

Kindermusik's gently structured, flexible curriculum allows a child to learn and develop at his or her own pace. The goal isn't necessarily to make your child a musician, but to make your child more eager to learn, more awake and wholly alive in the world.

While every class offers a delightful mix of songs and activities, each lesson is also thoughtfully designed to achieve specific learning and developmental goals. A rich assortment of musical activities are designed to promote language development, symbolic thinking, coordination, and social interactions, while cultivating your child's imagination. Each lesson moves at the child's pace, pausing to engage their interests, nurture their gifts and celebrate their discoveries.



Kindermusik classes available at Resurrection:

Kindermusik Village

Kindermusik Village® (newborn to 1 ˝ year old) - Activities that stimulate babies to observe, imitate and learn. For lap babies, crawlers and walkers accompanied by a parent.


Kindermusik Sign and Sing

Kindermusik Sign & Sing® (6 months to 3 year old) - Sign language curriculum for hearing children, with more than 50 signs your child can use to communicate with you.  Parents are actively involved.


Kindermusik Our Time

Kindermusik Our Time® (1 ˝ to 3 year old) - Activities and opportunities to sing, dance, play rhythm instruments and participate in listening exercises. Parents are actively involved.


Kindermusik Imagine That

Kindermusik Imagine That!® (3 to 5 year old) - Activities that encourages expressive language and imaginative play in pre-schoolers to nurture budding creativity and individuality.


Kindermusik Family Time

Kindermusik Family Time® (multi-age, multi-children families) - A "one room schoolhouse" environment, that helps children develop musical skills, as well as the social skills necessary to share, take turns, and strengthen the emotional bond among family members.  Parents are actively involved.


Kindermusik for the Young Child

Kindermusik for the Young Child® (4 ˝ to 7 year old) - Sequential and integrated experiences to take young music lovers on a journey into the world of music.
