Scheduled programming will resume this evening, December 2nd, for all Resurrection locations.
Scheduled programming has resumed for Thursday, February 13 at all Resurrection locations.
This Advent, we’re exploring one of the most beloved songs of the Christmas season. Originally written in French in 1847, “O Holy Night” has a remarkable history—it once brought a pause to the Franco-Prussian War and became the first song ever broadcast over radio. But beyond its historical significance, this carol speaks profound truth about the hope of Christ in a weary world, the peace that breaks the chains holding us back, and the love and light that shine in the darkness. Over the next four weeks, we’ll journey through the lyrics of this powerful hymn, examining the scriptures that inspired it and discovering how the night of Christ’s birth truly changes everything. Each Sunday leading up to Christmas Eve, we’ll reflect on a different verse and theme, culminating in the full celebration of the carol’s promise on Christmas Eve itself.
For 21 years, Christmas at Resurrection has been one of Kansas City’s beloved holiday traditions, and this December we’re inviting you to experience the magic once again. This year’s production, “Let Heaven and Nature Sing,” takes you on a musical journey from the Kansas City Zoo to the manger in Bethlehem, brought to life by our 120-voice Resurrection Choir and orchestra, the Kansas City Dance Collective, talented actors, and soloists. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of the season before experiencing the timeless story of Christ’s birth told through majestic music and performance. Whether this is your first time joining us or you’ve made this an annual family tradition, Christmas at Resurrection captures something truly special about this season—a celebration that brings the community together year after year. Purchase your tickets now and be part of a Kansas City tradition that continues to bring the light and wonder of Christmas to thousands each year.
We invite you to join us for Candlelight Christmas Eve at Resurrection. Experience the joy and hope of the season as we come together to sing carols, listen to the Christmas story, and share in the warmth of passing the candlelight as we sing Silent Night.
We look forward to celebrating this special evening with you.

his Christmas Eve, we invite you to experience O Holy Night: Christmas Changes Everything at one of our many Candlelight Christmas Eve services across all Resurrection locations. We’re exploring how this beloved carol speaks to the hope, peace, and light that Christ brings to our weary world—and on Christmas Eve, we celebrate the full promise of that holy night together. With services scheduled throughout the day and evening, there’s a time that works for your family. We’re also looking for volunteers to help welcome the thousands of guests who’ll join us for this special celebration. Whether you’re greeting families as they arrive, ushering, or helping distribute candles, your presence helps create the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes Candlelight Christmas Eve meaningful for all.
The 2025 Candlelight Christmas Eve Offering will shine hope into some of the most vulnerable places in our city and around the world. This year’s offering supports life-changing projects that ease the burden of poverty—especially for children—right here in Kansas City and across eight countries where our global partners serve.
In Kansas City, your generosity will fuel the work of organizations like Avenue of Life, helping children and their families break the cycle of homelessness. We’ll also invest in early learning centers that support under-resourced neighborhoods, closing opportunity gaps before they widen. Beyond that, the offering will uplift neighbors facing under-employment, recovery from addiction, housing insecurity, and the daily struggle to put food on the table.
