Candlelight Christmas Eve at Resurrection
2000 years ago, a caravan of Magi came from Persia searching for a child whose birth would change the world. If you don’t have a church home, we invite you to join us for Candlelight Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of this child. We’ll sing your favorite carols, reflect on the meaning of the Christmas story as told in the Gospel of Matthew, and then pass the candlelight as we sing Silent Night!

In our community, we’re focused on transforming lives through literacy and education programs for Pre-K and Elementary students, while also addressing critical family needs of food security and housing. Like those seekers who journeyed by caravan following heaven’s star, we invite you to join us this Advent season for Wise Ones Still Seek Him, as we explore the Christmas story through the Gospel of Matthew. Two thousand years ago, these Magi came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, seeking the newborn King whose birth was foretold by prophets and proclaimed by angels—a child who would be called Jesus, Messiah, Emanuel. And when they found him, they were filled with joy. Today, wise ones still seek this King, and they too are overjoyed at finding Him. Come join us as we journey together through this ancient story of seeking and finding, discovering anew the wonder of that holy night.
