Getting your finances in order doesn’t have to be complicated. Financial Peace University is an eight-lesson course that teaches practical strategies for saving for emergencies, paying off debt, tackling budgets, and investing wisely—all grounded in biblical principles that have helped more than 1,000 people at Resurrection take control of their money. Starting in January 2026, we’ll offer this course at several Resurrection locations, and thanks to a generous donor, all course materials are completely free. Whether you’re a high school student learning to budget for the first time, working to eliminate debt, or planning for retirement, this course will give you the tools and coaching you need to achieve financial peace of mind. On February 20-21, 6th-12th graders are invited to Converge, our two-day student conference happening in the brand-new Leawood Student Center. From Friday at 6 pm through Saturday at 3 pm, students will experience high-energy worship, interactive breakout sessions, and teaching designed to challenge and encourage them in their faith. The conference explores how God’s love shapes identity and calls students to live with courage and purpose alongside their peers. While the event spans two days, students head home each night—no overnight stay required. It’s a chance to connect with friends, shake off winter, and be part of something memorable. Registration is $65 and closes February 15.
Join us in honoring the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during our MLK Serve Saturday events on Saturday, January 17, and Monday, January 19. In the spirit of Dr. King’s powerful vision of social justice, equality, and community empowerment, we invite you to roll up your sleeves and make a meaningful difference in our community through various service projects. Our events are designed as easy, low-commitment ways to make a positive impact on your neighbors in the metro area. Try something new or enjoy a familiar favorite. Either way, you’ll experience the powerful impact of helping others by becoming God’s hands and feet right here in Kansas City. To learn more and sign up, click the button below.
Isaac Cates, our Music Outreach Director, is gathering singers for the 2026 One AcCORd Ensemble—a seasonal worship group that brings together voices from across our Resurrection community and the broader Kansas City area. This isn’t your typical choir. One AcCORd celebrates worship through music that spans every style and genre: traditional hymns alongside contemporary songs, global influences, and voices from different generations, all woven together in a way that reflects the diversity of our church and city. Throughout the year, the ensemble will participate in worship services and special events on a flexible, seasonal schedule—rehearsals happen on Monday nights in three-week blocks leading up to performances, making it easier to fit into your life. If you love to sing and want to experience how music can connect us across our differences and deepen our worship, you’ll find registration details, rehearsal dates, and upcoming performance schedules by clicking the button below.
A Church Conference will be held on January 27, from 7 to 8:30 pm in the Student Center (Leawood). We will be approving elected leaders for governance committees, evaluating candidates for ministry, and discussing the 2026 budget, along with receiving important reports. Voting is open to church members present in person, and no registration is necessary. For more information, contact Dan Entwistle. To attend via Zoom, use the link below. If you’re joining us on Zoom, you will be able to watch the meeting, but voting isn’t available online.

Join Pastor Robert Johnson for two powerful immersion trips that trace the sacred and sobering events shaping America’s journey toward justice. In March, explore Tulsa’s Greenwood District and the Osage Nation. In November, travel from Little Rock to Memphis, where ordinary people made extraordinary choices during the Civil Rights Movement. These aren’t tours—they’re pilgrimages designed to challenge and change us through guided reflection, prayer, and conversation, equipping us to love boldly and serve courageously today.
UPDATE: The Human Rights trip to Tulsa and the Osage Nation is now full.
